Restorative Dentistry in Grand Rapids

filling, bonding, caps, crowns, veneers, & more

Accidents happen and we’re here to help! If you’re in need of a chipped tooth, cracked tooth, or broken tooth repair in Grand Rapids—schedule an appointment with Craft Dentistry ASAP. If the damage is minor, Dr. Brianna Szymanski may be able to restore your tooth with bonding or filling. For extensive damage, we may need to discuss veneers, crowns, caps, a root canal, or dental implants.

In the meantime, avoid biting down, chewing, or putting any pressure on your damaged tooth. Ideally, stick to soups and smoothies until your appointment. Just be mindful that the fracture may cause sensitivity to hot or cold.

Don’t delay, as the longer you wait, the more likely further damage will occur.

Chipped Tooth Repair in Grand Rapids

Restore your smile and preserve the integrity of your broken tooth! A chipped tooth is often a fast and easy same-day repair—the more significant the chip or break, the more extensive the restoration process. Schedule your appointment without delay to avoid further damage. Especially if you’re in pain!

Before we begin, Dr. Szymanski will perform a comprehensive examination to determine the root cause of the chip or damage. Teeth are strong, so if they break when eating hard foods, it may be a sign of premature wear. From tooth decay to gum disease or bruxism (teeth grinding). Sometimes, the food you ate was simply too hard.

If damage occurred during athletic impact, we suggest custom-made mouthguards to prevent future damage.

If your teeth, gums, or mouth feel different than usual in any way, schedule a dental checkup!

HOW TO REPAIR CHIPPED TEETH OR BROKEN TEETH?

After a comprehensive exam, that may include X-rays and a 3D scan, Dr. Szymanski will discuss your restorative options. This may include:

Filling or bonding: A simple chip can often be repaired in one visit with filling or bonding.

Dental veneers: Veneers may be an option for front teeth that require more support than filling or bonding.

Dental cap or crown: More extensive damage may require a cap or crown. We may be able to custom-make a CEREC crown on the same day.

Root canal: Severely damaged teeth may require a root canal and crown or a root canal and dental implant.
